Basically the same ideas and principles as in my Ring map, but smaller. I consider this map to be more suitable for typical games. The map can be found at http://pholia.tdi.informatik.uni-frankfurt.de/~philipp/widelands/ As Ring, the map is based on the following aspects wanted to see in it:

I have observed a couple of all-AI games on this map in the last few days. As a result I made a few changes (mostly more coal helping the barbarian AI and more rocks helping the Empire AI, Atlanteans are already doing very well). Philipp Top Quote |

long time ago, i posted an idea about creating maps using symmetries. https://wl.widelands.org/forum/topic/1634/ If you want to create a balanced 8-player map, we could use vectors. Example for 8-player map : if the map is of size 320 * 320. we could repeat everything 8 times, by using the vector (40,120) (40 to the right, 120 to the top). Top Quote |
