you can get the replays here, although the last game hasn't yet been updated. the version is written on the replay filename http://www.widelands.org/~hanna/wl/tournament2015/Replays/ Top Quote |

I have updated the replays now. The replay of the very exciting game 24 is available by clicking here. Top Quote |

I don't know if there is a mistake in the filename with the 7443. Or maybe I'm just lucky that the replay seems to work with the windows build 7442 from Tino . At least it start's but I didn't watch it completely, just the very beginning. Top Quote |

Most of the builds are compatible +/- some numbers This is one of the best examples: 7443 and 7442 builds are compatible enough to play and watch a replay einstein13 |

As long as the internal logic does not change, two versions are compatible. In r7443, only the translations were updated, which has no impact on the replays. "Only few people know how much one has to know in order to know how little one knows." - Werner Heisenberg Top Quote |

spectating, i could see a few balance problems with the map "crossing the horizon". everyone needs two sentries - guardhouses to reach their port space, except red, who needs three. and in a map where victory goes to the first who can make expeditions and take the big islands, that's a big difference. On the other hand, red has easier access to gold. with two sentries directly east of his hq he can already make a gold mine that will reach a few gold. other players cannot do this and must go all the way round their mountains to get the gold. except if they are atlanteans, in which case their greater range let themm also make mines fast. I don't know if those two things are meant to compensate each other. The third thing, and most important, is that blue can build a castle on the coast and block the port space on his east island, so that only he can settle there. that cannot be compensated by other factors, blue makes a castle and he secured the island. the small island east of blue should be reworked to avoid that, with the port space shifted further east. I agree, we should try to balance the maps as good as possible. Being able to block a port space should not be possible. However, reaching a port space in half the time of other players is much worse because without gold you can only start one expedition and have to wait for gold afterwards. In this time red can start two more expeditions. The difference between two and three sentries is not too important in my opinion. Otherwise you would also need to take into account that blue has to expand to the south which takes more time and probably more military sites to reach the gold. Regarding atlanteans, at least for blue it is not possible to shorten the way to the gold. Even with a castle the influence of a gold mine does not overlap with the gold ressources. Top Quote |

Hey, ok lets redirect our focus on the final now! I just noticed something that may be known, but I was not aware of that, so here is the thing: Wares that are in a port do not count for the points in the "collectors" mode! After playing a while I was asking myself why the AI players still have more points than me, but then I noticed that many of my weapons and armor where brought to the nearest port. So, keep that in mind (to be fair) Top Quote |
