Oh, nice to see another contributor! We are using launchpad for our source code. You need to get trunk to your PC, branch it into new branch (under new name) and push it back to launchpad, see here: https://code.launchpad.net/widelands Once you feel your branch is mature enough, propose it for merge, see here: https://code.launchpad.net/widelands/+activereviews When approved, somebody will merge it back to trunk. For more details: https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/BzrPrimer/ EDIT: see post bellow Edited: 2015-09-09, 21:07

Hi welcome to the forum. Translations are managed via transifex. You have to make an account on transifex and after that you could work on translations into russian. Edited: 2015-09-09, 21:03

Thank you all for fast replies. Transifex is too complicated and weird way IMO - it need JS and I don't want edit text in browser window, so I should learn launchpad. Ok. I just dream that is a simple way like e-mail patch to somebody. But if not, it's ok. Top Quote |

@foxmulder32 I am not sure if translations can go also via launchpad... I am not involved in this kind of stuff. Top Quote |

But texts is just text files in po/ directory. Why not? I'm confused a bit. Need to learn more. Not easy way to just write some human text ) Top Quote |

If your patch contains only translation related stuff i think it's not possible (anymore) to make this via launchpad. On launchpad only program code related stuff is managed. Changing po files should be possible... maybe GunChleoc could tell if it is possible (or/and wanted). So please wait until GunChleoc answers Top Quote |

Welcome to the team! Please use Transifex to manage your translations, because there are other translators working on there as well, and you might overwrite their efforts. Transifex has a download/upload function that you can use if you prefer to edit your translations offline. I like to use Virtaal or PoEdit myself
ETA: You should also join the Russian translation team on Transifex if you haven't done so already, so we can add you to the credits and you will receive announcements. We also have a general translation guide for Widelands: https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/TranslatingWidelands/ Edited: 2015-09-10, 14:51
