Not really. So far, I built 6 maps, 3 of which i haven't uploaded yet. And I always used different base terrain. Respectively, one type of desert, another type of desert, mountain meadow, winter water, desert water 2x (but if I could rebuild one map I'd make it summer water). In 3 of the maps I didn't change all the map to the base terrain because there wasn't such a high prevalence, but it could have saved a bit of time. Anyway I don't see why the program should restrict my choice, especially when it doesn't seem any easier. I suppose letting one pick among all exhisting terrains should actually be easier than letting one pick among all terrains minus some. Top Quote |

OK, all terrains it is then. The question now is, do we want multiple tabs, or do we just keep the long list? We could also have a "Remember this terrain" button, or have the editor just always remember which terrain you picked last time when you created a new map and then preselect it from the list. I prefer multiple tabs (let's wait for other votes!) einstein13 |

If all types of terrains is wanted, then we should use the same tabs as they are in editor (sorted by biome) Top Quote |

I'm easy, but feel that a "remember this selection for next time" tag is important. Top Quote |

why so? once the function to initialize the map is implemented, it would take 5 seconds to change all the terrain to the desired one. 10, tops. once every time you start a map. and only if yoou want to use the same base terrain of the previous one. coding it would take more time than it could ever posisbly save.
