@kaputtnik: yes, that is snow - my mistake @all: discussion about adding new maps was about a year ago. I started to provide map packages with best maps (from my point of view). I wasn't testing them by playing, but I was editing them and look for basic resources, place to live and map quality (is a map just flat or it is more interesting?). That was lots of work. I know that this "packages" are a bit out of date now, but it is a good start for other testers Also there is some info about time when the map was created and if it is "new builds" or build-18 and earlier. There is small problem too: what about copyrights? I am not sure if all maps are "GNU". Do people want to add their maps to widelands official build? And my last question: how many maps should be official? einstein13 |

At the moment, we have 49 official maps. This is already quite a lot, so I think we should look into mostly replacing and only add a few. Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |

since this thread started about trees, shall we open a new one for it? here we may at most discuss whether to remake last bastion with more tundra, or delete it. if we're to delete some map, I'd say we can dellete it, i didn't found it appealing. but i can't judge many maps because most maps i never played Top Quote |

https://wl.widelands.org/forum/topic/1934/ here we got a good (although german) reminder: also the tutorial campaigns need to be checked. Barbarian campaign map 3 seems to be very icy, apparently. CMake is evil. Top Quote |

I played all the campaigns when I worked on the one_tribe branch to make sure that all entity names were fixed up, and I had no problem playing the campaign maps through. The new tree values came before that. So, I think we're OK with the campaigns here. Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |
