While looking for new deveopments I found the ROADMAP blog fairly out of date https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/RoadMap/ Without complaint, but I'd be happy if someone found it worth to make ongoing development more transparent to the casual visitor and mildly interested. A Blog entry somewhere about new features realised or targeted at with release 19 would be very fine! Cheers! Top Quote

Since we are currently trying to finish up Build 19, updating the roadmap at this point in time would be a bit too much work, as the information will be available through the changelog anyway. And we need IMHO a tag system for outdated wiki pages to filter against. So we could show only valid wiki articles in Wiki list or sort them accordingly... This would be something for the Roadmap page Top Quote

We can start improving the Website today! For instance this is now apparently 404: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/widelands-bzr/ (concern of https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/Download/) overhaul of the Download page as for "News", visitors would regularly expect a "News Archive" to contain older messages, out of current concern. But here all messages roam in the "News Archive", right? To be considered if not separate sections for "News", "Poll" and "News Archive", "Poll Archive" would make great sense. Convenient for the visitor to filter out outdated material. Requires annual gardening work. Top Quote
