Hello! While looking for new deveopments I found the ROADMAP blog fairly out of date https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/RoadMap/ Without complaint, but I'd be happy if someone found it worth to make ongoing development more transparent to the casual visitor and mildly interested. A Blog entry somewhere about new features realised or targeted at with release 19 would be very fine! Cheers! Top Quote |

Thanks for pointing this out, I wasn't even aware that that page existed. Since we are currently trying to finish up Build 19, updating the roadmap at this point in time would be a bit too much work, as the information will be available through the changelog anyway. You can see what we have been working since Build 18 on in our news archive: https://wl.widelands.org/news/ I have added a link to the news archive to the RoadMap page. You can also check out https://launchpad.net/widelands/+milestone/build19-rc1 Edited: 2016-05-20, 12:59

That page looks rather like an "Ask for developer activity" page than a roadmap But a page which shows future plans for the next release would be nice. And we need IMHO a tag system for outdated wiki pages to filter against. So we could show only valid wiki articles in Wiki list or sort them accordingly... This would be something for the Roadmap page Top Quote |

Maybe a page overview that can be sorted by last edit date? Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |

Thank you! That "New Archive" is indeed helpful. Website could bear an overhaul, yes. We can start improving the Website today!

Your are invited to do so. The code for the Website is official and everyone could improve things. You just have to know a little bit Django, Python and Bazaar.
This Link work's for me.
This is just a Wiki page and everyone with a normal account could change the contents. So you could do so
Yes, i have currently changed it in the django1_8 branch like you suggested. Top Quote |
