I have written a tutorial for creating scenarios. It's not really perfect, but i think it could be a good starting point for new scenario authors. The last part Tips for testing coroutines is missing right now, but i want to hear some opinions about the general approach. I am also asking here for proofreading and a feedback, especially i would be glad if a beginner can check the tutorial for understandability. This is a wiki article, so don't hesitate to make appropriate changes Here is the Scenario Tutorial Edited: 2018-03-05, 22:00

Great, thanks! I'll need to find some time to have a look at it. Are you aware of this guy? https://wl.widelands.org/docs/wl/tutorial/ Maybe the 2 articles can be merged. I'd be OK with having this on the wiki, since it will make contributing easier. Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |

Yes of course I have referred to it, at least to the first two chapters, and later on another chapter of it.
Yes. But the wiki article is currently a bit big at all, whereas it is only scraping some things and leaves the reader to "just do it" without any explanations. A difficult task... Maybe we could strip out the LUA Primer and make a standalone wiki article of it. Top Quote |
