I've created a case study map about the possibility of two players deadlocking each other. It's called "EGB" and uploaded to http://wl.widelands.org/maps/egb/. (empty signature.) Top Quote |

Yes, you're right. Now we don't have a possibility of port-attacking, but it is as one of further projects in Widelands. There are multiple maps where port attacking is needed. And according to "deadlock": the map creator should consider almost all cases about the game should proceed. For example putting no water at all will make Atlanteans very hard to play, and if you don't put stone/marble in the mountains, Empire has very big disadvantage. I don't know what Frisians needs, but for sure Barbarians can play on any Settlers2 map. So Wideladns is quite different game comparing to its origin. einstein13 |

Maybe needed for autocrat. But the fact that ports are not attackable can also be a feature
Besides they currently need iron ore for every training step, they also need some soil where berries grow well. And like empire&barbarians they suffer from ore/coal shortage - plus they suffer from lack of fish/game like the empire. Wanted to save the world, then I got widetracked Top Quote |
