Good ideas. By the way, it could be useful if it would be visible that users don't send messages into discord, otherwise the discord people might wonder why there is no answer (for example).

To clarify my suggestion: If the checkboxes are unchecked, every communication to IRC or discord should be prevented.

The problem isn't discord, imho, it's the general connection metaserver lobby -> IRC. Just because everyone can set up a discord server and connect it with the IRC, like it happens already today. discord could not gather the informations shown in the link from an IRC user, imho, but maybe the IP and all posts.

In my opinion we should add first a check box 'connect to IRC' to the Online Gaming window. At least there should be a hint that connecting the lobby will also connect to IRC.
