now, I have to remind everyone that while I, personally, don't like that the leader gets a draw by agreement on the last round, and many of us share the same opinion, it is perfectly allowed for a pplayer to get a draw by agreement. I may change that and add, for the next tournament, that one has to play at least two hours before agreeing to a draw - similar regulations have been introduced in chess. but in any case, worldsavior and the-x are perfectly free to do as they wish for their game. we shall not try to force them to play, and they should not feel obliged to play.I have to say this in arbiter text because I'm led to believe that they are feeling unduly pressured. Plus, I think there is no doubt that worldsavior would win. not only he is much stronger than anyone else anyway, but the-x is stronger when rushing, but much weaker at setting up the economy long term. and ice wars is a map with late contact, unsuited for rushing. and worldsavior and the-x already play several games among them. if they decide that instead of playing on ice wars they'd rather play a friendly game on another map, it doesn't really make a difference. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks GunChleoc for uploading the replay We played also in peaceful mode by agreement. This was very nice and without any pressure to build a strong army. Both players focus on the wincondition. I think this will be great feature in build 21! ![]() ![]() |

Thanks
I doubt it, the Nile contains only a rather small percentage of buildable land.
No big problem. I didn't see that it should be a joke and got slightly annoyed...
Yes, but peaceful mode should also be available for territiorial win conditions. Wanted to save the world, then I got widetracked ![]() ![]() |

Good news to all who showed disappointment because the-x and me didn't play: We played now a match with that setup, https://www.widelands.org/forum/topic/4599/?page=3#post-29227 Wanted to save the world, then I got widetracked ![]() ![]() |

I would not be against it. But if the-x would insist on a draw, he would insist on a draw. Though this half point will probably make no difference for him because his Buchholz-number is very high. Wanted to save the world, then I got widetracked ![]() ![]() |

I'll leave it a draw, as it was presented like that at first. i agree it probably doesn't matter. I'd be curious to see a the-x mars matchup, though. they may be close enough
