What version do you plan to play, maybe we should provide some development Linux/Windows/Mac binaries on equal revision. For me a freeze on Thursday would be great, because i don't know if i can upload packages this weekend. Top Quote |

Great idea! Kristin and myself will join in. I also agree that we should freeze a revision for this playday. We should get Tino involved for the windows guys. Top Quote |

During the Turnament I was to play 2 games, but non of them worked directly by connecting via the metaserver. This is a quite common Windows problem, isn't it? Has this been fixed till now, or was it just a problem concernig my configuration? Ive red about that port-forwarding thing and also tried it, but due to some problems with my router it didnt work... I know this problem only appears, if I try to host a game (using Windows) and can symply be evaded by letting a Linux-player host the game, but it would also be nice, if it worked with any OS Top Quote |

Nasenbaer: I suggest we poke our packagers on thursday evening and make the revision that is gonna be played public in the news post. Gannaf: all your trouble should be fixed (but probably aren't ). Top Quote |

Gannaf wrote: If you have not been able to forward the port to your computer, this is at least one problem that blocks connection. Of course router forwarding is somehow offtopic and not really about Widelands ;) - however (as you are from Germany and many people seem to have a FritzBox in Germany): "Port Forwarding" has a wrong translation in the German FritzBox version. It is translated to "Port Freigabe" (should be "Port Weiterleitung") Hope that helped :) Edited: 2010-11-09, 18:09
