The problem is that some speckled stone is called marble, even if it may not really marble: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/speckled-marble-wall-threads.html
Yeah, people sometimes use absurd names (the Peacock Mantis Shrimp is neither a peacock nor a mantis nor a shrimp).

And while the stone floor I'm using has smaller rocks than the tower, they're not THAT small; we have rocks a foot or two wide (30-60 cm).

Please don't prove your naming convention with an art image face-smile.png But yes, also in germany most people talk about 'marble' for every stone which is used in architecture. It's wrong nevertheless. Mainly because 'marble' and 'granite' have very different chemical (and physical) properties. E.g. one can clean granite with acid (e.g. vinegar) whereas using acid on marble it get destroyed.

Yes, that's true. But widelands shouldn't force people to use wrong naming, imho. Yes, widelands is a fantasy game, but e.g. the trees, or the animals, used in the game are looking and named like in the real world.

As said, i don't see rocks, i see grout.

Anyway, i don't want to create an endless discussion. Just gave my two cents because you asked for comments. You are doing a great job and your work is really appreciated face-smile.png

Here's the original image used in the game, scaled to 25% (the original version was HUGE). Note that both the barbarians tower and my models use a faded version.

As you can see, that's definitely rocks. Yes, there's filler between the rocks, but the filler is... filler.

I'm afraid I'll have to reject the idea of changing the floor inside, but don't worry; I'll still adjust the log pile and roof turf as requested.

How about desaturating the floor texture, and perhaps tweaking the brightness a bit? Then it would look very much like the granite textures of other models.

For comparison:

Other than that, nice work face-smile.png

I'm not meaning to hurry, but the release candidate will be published on June 8. Do you think the construction images will be ready until then?

Sorry, I've been sidetracked by real life; I'll get the images done within the next 24 hours.

EDIT: One hour is less than 24 hours, right?

Thanks for your work!

This is now in master but there are some little things to fix: The builder stands on this "bags"(?) and the dummy lies on the road of the building:

For version 1.1: How about moving them a bit to the left?

Try adjusting the hotspot to move the building left a bit; that should get him off the roof sod as well as line up the doorway with the road.

And if that doesn't work, I can adjust things.
