I am just working on the amazon translations. As they are desigend to be women I would use the feminine version for their workers and soldiers. Any thoughts on this? Top Quote |

Ok I'll go for it then. However I beleive that bug https://github.com/widelands/widelands/issues/4490 is currently standing a bit in the way. I'll start with the tribe specific translations then until this gets fixed Top Quote |

Ok, I'll review the french texts. La connaissance ne vaut que si elle est partagée par le plus grand nombre. |

At least hungarian does not have this problem… I can't understand why grammatical gender even exists in other languages… Top Quote |

I have done some minimal work on the French tranlsations. I think pretty much every occurence of "Soldier" is tranlsated by "Soldats" which would imply that there is at least one man in the group. "Soldates" is not a word that is used often, but it would fit better. The thing is, I can change it when i see an occurence, and i intend to give some time to translations, but i won't actively look for each occurence right now. Should i do it when i see one, or is consistency in the names more important, untill I or a couple of people decide to invest the time to change them all/most of them? Top Quote |
