Uploaded. As often I made a couple of minor changes for better translatability.

The lists of add-ons for v1.0 are updated every 24 hours so the add-on should be visible for v1.0 users tomorrow morning. Users of the current development version see new add-ons immediately.

There is a small number of add-ons that receive very frequent updates. Only today 5 new versions of the same add-on were submitted. While I'm really happy that some people put so much effort into designing enhancements and sharing them with the player base, submitting updates for add-ons that often impairs the experience for players. In order to continue saved games and to play multiplayer games together, the versions of the add-ons in use must match, so frequent updates to add-ons often break savegame compatibility and make the add-on harder to use in multiplayer games. Also, every new version of an add-on needs to be reviewed and approved manually by a maintainer, so after each update your add-on spends a lot of time hidden from the default listing while waiting for a review.

Most of the time it would make much more sense to combine smaller changes into batches, and only submit the update when a batch is complete and has been well tested. Then there is no need to experiment with various ways of doing things, undoing what was added an hour before, and fixing a bug in that ten minutes later. What is better – to give the general public player base the very latest bleeding-edge beta dev version which is barely tested and contains bugs, or an only slightly outdated but stable version that doesn't need to change every other hour?

The server now accepts new uploads for the same add-on only every 3 days. If you have to fix any truly critical bugs such as the game failing to start, security issues, etc., I'll happily make an exception – just ask. But for normal feature updates and smaller bugfixes, please take the time to ask yourself before uploading whether this version is really ready for general use by hundreds of players expecting a stable gameplay. And when in doubt, test it a bit more.

Fehler in Saved game

Hallo zusammen,

habe gestern die Karte "Die Wüste zum blühen bringen" aus dem Add-On "Herrausfordernde Kartensammlung" gespielt und heute versucht eine Autosave Datei zu laden, dabei erhalte ich eine Fehlermeldung (siehe Screenshot).

Was kann ich tun um die Karte weiter spielen zu können?

Das sieht eventuell nach diesem Bug aus: https://github.com/widelands/widelands/issues/4907

Ist das Add-On "Weißer Sommer" (white_summer.wad) installiert und eingeschaltet? Falls es auch nach dem Einschalten dieses Add-Ons nicht klappt, lade bitte die Spielstanddatei hoch.

Ja, Add-on white_summer.wad und auch white_summer_maps.wad ist installiert und aktiv.
