2. If you played the game in several sessions, zip together all related replays. If there is a replay missing your time will not count

Is it allowed to branch off a new attempt from an earlier worse one? Case in point: I played with Barbarians yesterday, and got 2:41. Today I started from yesterday's autosave at 40 minutes gametime, and got 2:29. Would the 2 replays (0 to 2:41 and 40 to 2:29) count as a 2:29 result? (though I'm not sure if I want to: I think I could do better, just don't feel the energy to do it all over again)

WorldSavior, a lot of fluctuation in the Trainingarena face-smile.png

Hm, in a normal tournament you can't switch back. So i would tend to not allow this, but i am open for other opinions.

Because you opened this topic: Probably the replays of WorldSavior's game with Amazons are created the same way? At least there is a difference in time of 4 minutes between those replays, if i interpret the filenames and timestamps correctly. Since he get a better time with Amazons in one go later, this has currently no impact.

OK, perfectly valid point.

That's what happens if somebody continues the game from the last autosave after a crash. OTOH you can always run the replay to the end and create a new save from its final state, and use that for resuming the game. So it's technically possible to set the rule to always require continuous gametime in case of multiple replays.
