I played this campaign and I didn't get the message what I should do to be able to finish the construction of the training camp. I know there should be a message that is why I know what to do. It’s the message: ”Not so hasty! To build a training camp…“. But without this knowledge, I would probably think that something went wrong. How does it work with this message? Maybe it would be useful to mention this hint in objectives as well? Top Quote |

If you happen to have some gold or gold ore among the wares you took as additional expedition items at the end of the first scenario, this message is skipped, as you can then start building your training camp right away without needing to dismantle the port first. …EDIT: But there's a bug in the detection of this, will fix Edited: 2021-04-01, 16:51

Well, the problem may be in the first scenario then. I remember waiting for the message “You have completed this mission. You may move on to the next scenario…“ at least two minutes after my island disappeared under water. But it didn’t come. So I closed the scenario and moved to the second, which was already available to play. And I didn’t get the message: “You appear not to have completed the previous mission.“ Of course I had a lot of gold and gold ore, but I didn’t get any in the new scenario. I had to throw it into the sea because the storms were terrible. Top Quote |

The gold and gold ore is not thrown away, only iron, iron ore, picks, and scrap metals. (I originally intended to throw the gold overboard as well but I was persuaded otherwise during the review). Top Quote |

Hello there! I hope you're having a great day! I'm currently playing the second Frisian scenario, "An Icy Welcome," and I'm feeling a bit stuck. I've chosen to befriend the Empyrean tribe and fill their warehouse with the requested wares. But I'm having trouble figuring out how to collect gold. I can't find any spots in the nearest mountains to build a gold mine, and the Empyreans have forbidden me from expanding. So I can't discover new mines. Plus, I don't have any metal to recycle. Any thoughts or tips, please? I’d really appreciate your help! Top Quote |

Hi hessenfarmer! I finally managed to discover gold in the same mountains. For some reason, my geologist hadn't found any gold when I first sent him there. But now I have my mines working and I have completed the Empyreans' task. Thank you for your time! Top Quote |

Geologists are random and don't do a thorough job. One trick I learned was to send 2 or even (all) 4 to the same spot to try and get a complete report. The other thing is that the flags disappear very quickly so you may have missed it. There's an addon that makes them last longer (or permanently until a mine is built, something like that) you can try out. -- |

It doesn't work in this case, because add-ons are disabled for scenarios, to not mess with the intended storyline and difficulty. Top Quote |

This is an interesting idea, thanks! I'll try it next time when I'm searching for ore. Edited: Today 07:37
