A setting below the list of players where there is a setting for the human player to click on to become a spectator. It's similar to spectating in multiplayer games, so why not have a feature like that with singleplayer games as well?

Just a gamer and that's it.

Hi, welcome to the forums.

This feature exists already, at least kind of. Go Multiplayer --> LAN/Direct IP --> Open new game --> Change map and so on.

Does that work for you?

As this already works there, there is no big necessity to make it work as well in the single player menu.

Wanted to save the world, then I got widetracked

Hi CentrawhileYT and welcome to our forums face-smile.png

A game of two persons is technically a multiplayer game, although one person is just a spectator.

If you just want to watch an AI only game as a spectator you can setup a Multiplayer LAN Game with you as the spectator. BTW a good possibility for testing the AI on new created maps.
