I however also prefer the old icons because they have less clear cut edges - that is, they feel more like pictures than pictograms to me. It fits better into the game imho. I also agree that the Floppy is a perfect symbol for the save functionality. The new symbol fraang proposed is bad to recognize because it has quite few contrast. I do not like the new image because the icons are smaller and there is free space as if something was missing.
