Hi,

Is there an RSS feed for widelands, that I could use for RSS News software? I was searching in the Forum, but I didn't findt anything. May be I did not take enought time to do this, or I have to look in an other place. If it is like this, then please forgive me face-grin.png

Greetings godsfriend

There most certainly are rss feeds here. Available for the forums, wiki and news. Depending on what browser you use, you should see an rss icon somewhere.

Please forgive me to warm up this old topic, but i miss an RSS feed for new versions.

I have an old PC with Windows 7 for testing the bzr-Releases made by Tino. Yesterday i played 6104, than i saw 6105 and at the evening the 6107-version was on the side. It would be much easier if this version where posted on the news feed OR created a extra feed for the release of the new Windows/Linux version. Sure i'm not the only one who is surprised over the fast development... Generally a Release Schedule (e. g. every friday evening/saturday morning) for the Windows users would make life much easier.

BTW: For this reason i installed Windows 7 side by side with Linux to test the new Widelands-Versions. ;-) I have not the time to compile every version for a quick game...

Thanks very much for Tino for his versions!

LAZA: If you compile yourself, Launchpad offers a feed for when trunk is updated here http://feeds.launchpad.net/~widelands-dev/widelands/trunk/branch.atom (available from https://code.launchpad.net/~widelands-dev/widelands/trunk in your favorite web browser). Though, personally I just do "bzr pull" and check if there is any new updates available before starting a new game.

For the development builds I am not sure. I gather the PPA for Ubuntu has feeds, but I am not sure about the rest which is mostly just volunteers putting up their builds. (Which is awesome by the way face-smile.png )

Ships!
