I just beat the second empire mission and I could advance to the next. I exited the level and went to go to the third and there was nothing there. Any help would be appreciated.

That's because there is no third empire mission yet. Only the barbarian campaign has three missions so far. I'm sure other people can tell you more about what campaigns are currently being worked on.

As said before, there's no third mission. However, in build16 there will be an additional tutorial and the first mission for the atlanteans campaign. That's the status for now, there might be more to come.
