Hello! In the course of a game on the map "The Nile," I came across a situation where I had to Build an entire warehouse just to store a handful variety of items, so it got me thinking, What if there was another type of building that would store about 5 different types of wares in a lower quantity, but was instead easier and quicker to build? something like a "square." And also it could have this quality that the player MUST choose what Items he wants to store in it, unlike the warehouse where everything can get stored. this could also help with organizing the pathways in the game, it is a square after all face-smile.png

I thought warehouses were fairly cheap. On a normal map, not something with almost no resources/space. Still it does sound interesting, a "sentry" version of the warehouse, heheh.

This (or something very similar) was previously discussed at https://www.widelands.org/forum/topic/4326/
and the consensus after a somewhat heated discussion was, an additional cheaper warehouse type with limited storage space would be an acceptable gimmick, but not particularly useful since regular warehouses are not expensive after all and so it's not really worth the considerable effort that would be needed to implement it.

Hi, Thank you, I had a quick look at that post, their idea was similar to mine on that they wanted to introduce storage limit, and I see how it could present some real challenges.
