Maybe they haven't figured out that the world doesn't revolve around them, However, I have heard of Daniel Webster and his crusade, it was quiet the joke when I was in my highschool english class about 47 years ago, but we aussies also have our quirks like using 'galah' ( which is a type of parrot ) to describe a person who is ether a fool or
is acting foolish. There are others I could qoute, so I guess spelling colour as color isn't so bad, it just seems a lazy way to me

In Australia, we're mostly metric, but there are some hold-outs ( us crusty old buggers can still work in both ), however, across the ditch, the kiwi's are all metric AFAIK
Also, in the depth burned south, most African countries use metric and imperial, at least that's the way it was a couple of years ago when my daughter was last there/
As for looking cheaper, what's cheap ? The cost of life is horrendous, at least down in this wide brown land ( and those pesky 2
islands to the south east, commonly called New Zealand) <wink>
