Description:

During the last glacial maximum, ice carved a deep valley through this plateau. After the ice receded, a river took its place. Over time, uplift caused the grade of the valley floor to flatten, and the river is now old and meandering. Five tribes have established camps near the river bends, each hoping to flourish and control the whole valley.

Hint:

Gold is limited to sand bars by the river. A tiny amount of residual iron is available on the high banks, but you'll want to head to the mountains as soon as possible to find more.
