Map: Four Worlds
Description:
The people who live here have to use ships to travel to new places to live.
Hint:
Fishing areas and small gold deposits are marked with Standing Stones. There are large gold deposits but you have to build a ship to get to them.

I hope you like this one... There are 2 very small deposits of gold on each of the 4 main islands and larger gold deposits on the 5 small islands. The trick is to get onto the small islands ... you MUST go to them by boat.
If you use one small gold deposit to build your boat and launch an expedition instead of growing your army it is very easy to get to the large gold deposits. Look for a circle of small rocks marked by a tall standing stone to find the small gold mine. Quarry the small rocks to reveal the mine.
I have been playing this map for a few months as I perfected the landing ability of a boat on another tribes island without being wiped out before you get ready for a battle.

Oh? Tell me more. I did not use any other map to create it. |

Look at my screenshot "Complete World" from build 20: https://www.widelands.org/screenshots/ But however, your version might be actually playable, which is good |

I see there were also two other submissions at that time with four terrains. I was not aware of those screenshots when I decided to make my map. Yes, my map is absolutely playable and when you set all AI as "very weak" and disable the 8th player so that you have one island completely to yourself, even an old guy like me can totally own the entire map after a couple of weeks of playing. I have not tried it with "normal" AI. I really do like to win |
