The Widelands Development Team is proud to announce that the Release Candidate for Widelands 1.1 is now available for download.
Windows installer 64 bit · 32 bit
Mac packages (64 bit) MacOS ≥ 11 · M1 Arm MacOS ≥ 11
Linux (64 bit) AppImage
Source code as .zip · .tar.gz
A Flatpak package can be installed from the Flatpak beta repo

Apple has tightend security on MacOS with Apple Silicon (ARM CPU) once again. So the App will not start after the download. If you download the .dmg using a Browser this will set a "quarantine flag". This must be removed using: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine Widelands2.app Alternativly you can use some commandline tool to to download the .dmg e.g. curl --location https://github.com/widelands/widelands/releases/download/v1.1-rc1/Widelands-1.1-rc1-MacOS11-Arm.dmg --output Widelands-1.1-rc1-MacOS11-Arm.dmg |
