So, my last posts have been with the convention

"Title - Description"

Here another save for another screenshot

Finetuning of speed - Press shift+pagedown to reduce game speed by 0.25x instead of 1x

imho our two screenshots of this subject team up well. Yours show the infinity feature, mine shows a little bit more of the UI.

True face-smile.png My first impulse was to replace my eco-options screenshot with yours because of the better UI image but then I saw that yours doesn't have the infinity button yet. So I placed them next to each other.

Please check whether I uploaded all your images, there are so many of them that it would be easy to forget one face-wink.png

More Game Starting Options: New starting conditions “Poor Hamlet” (minimal start), “Struggling Outpost” (hardcore), “Discovery” (three ships on the ocean), and “New World” (seven ships). New game option “Peaceful Mode” (disable fighting between players).

It would bet better to keep the main description very short to spread the images evenly on the Screenshots page and moving some strings to the description (which is shown below the image in the slideshow). Suggestions:

  • Keep Wares When Dismantling -> Dismantlesite Options
  • Configure buildings before they are finished... -> Constructionsite Options 1
  • ... and build enhanced buildings directly. -> Constructionsite Options 2
  • Soldier Choice in the Attack Box -> New Attack Window
  • More Game Starting Options -> New Starting Options

I think that they are complete

Soldier Choice in the Attack box: Hand-pick the soldiers most suited to annihilate your foes

Maybe replacing "annihilate" by "attack" or something like this? Sounds too harsh, doesn't it?

Nordfriese wrote:

But how does it work together with ctrl+click? Does ctrl+click on dismantle unload the wares immediately and then dismantle, and does ctrl+click on destroy let the wares vanish immediately and destroying the building? That might be the best way, or am I wrong?

Exactly: Ctrl-click always discards wares. Normal click offers a checkbox in the confirm dialogue which is checked by default.

Okay, this might also be fine, because I guess that one could also destroy the building immediately when the discarding process is already triggered. So ctrl+doubleclick should do the trick if I want to get rid of the building as fast as possible.

Off topic: There is a bug: If you destroy in the latter case a constructionside, it doesn't just vanish like it should (others do that), but it leaves a burning building.

Already known: https://github.com/widelands/widelands/issues/3816

Good. I shouldn't stop reading the bug reports I guess face-wink.png

Use shift and/or ctrl for better management of building windows

I overhauled the screenshot "Construction Sites 2" - it now shows concretely how to build enhanced buildings directly.

Description can stay as it is ( "... and build enhanced buildings directly." )

Localization: Widelands is translated completely into Catalan, Danish, Dutch, French, German, and Low German; and the translations for 12 other languages are more than ⅔ complete.

(these stats may need to be adjusted when the release candidate is out)
