Ok I have crawled my hard drive and finally found what I was looking for. The ware icons I have made some time ago. The size is 24 x 24 pixels.

Greetings Fraang!
I like them. The stone needs an extra model for the imperial marble, of course.
Maybe the iron should be more reddish...
I am not so happy with the fish. face-smile.png
Water looks blue, because it reflects the sky.
Fish don't do that as a rule - so how come you want them blue?
Blue fish are rare - they're mostly silvery - take my word, as a RL fisherman face-grin.png

Let's see if we can get Chuck to show up and comment on this face-wink.png
He has the last word on all this.

Changing the hue/saturation is no problem. I will upload a new version today.

The marble block should be no problem too.

I have created a bzr branch for the development of the icons to collect them all on one location.

https://code.launchpad.net/~florian-angermeier/widelands-media/icon-set-improvements

Please try them out and give me feedback.

I have tried to do an alternative version of the coal ware and idle icon. (If you like this one I will do the iron and gold icons the same way.)

The icons:

Ware / Idle

Feedback is welcome.

It looks like oil to me. I have a hard time associating it with coal.

I prefer the version you made before, too. Coal should look like chunks, not like cowdroppings.

Three other notes:

  • As you have changed the marble's colour, the marble column's colour should be changed as well.
  • I think the fish his bad visible, but that's maybe because it's a screenshot.
  • I know you didn't change the wine bottles (yet?), but they're also bad visible (that's not because of the screenshot).

I hope that all these things will be changed - after all, we want to have a good-looking widelands.
